Glóin was a Dwarf of Erebor who was a member of Thórin and Company who set out to reclaim Erebor during the Third Age. He was the youngest son of Gróin, the younger brother of Óin II, the cousin of Balin and Dwálin, the husband of Milli, and the father of Gimli.
Biography[]
Early life, Battle of Azanulbizar, and Life in the Blue Mountains[]
Glóin was born in TA 2783 to his father Gróin, thirteen years after when Smaug took over the Lonely Mountain. His brother Óin was also born after the event, but only four years earlier.
In TA 2770, Glóin had also fought in the Battle of Azanulbizar when he was only sixteen along with his brother Óin and cousins Balin and Dwalin, and survived together.
During his life in the Blue Mountains, Glóin got married and had a son named Gimli in TA 2879.
